Tutoring provides a unique opportunity for intensive, customized learning that addresses the Whole Learner. In addition to building target skills (math), the tutor has a unique access to coach the ‘how’ of learning, attuned to the needs of the individual student’s learning strengths and challenges.
ELP’s Enriched Tutoring Model provides educators with frameworks to guide, shape and cultivate the individual learner’s critical thinking, executive functions and math mindset through ‘process over product’ oriented teaching. By operationalizing math learning and leveraging the inherent structure in mathematical thinking to augment and enhance the learner’s thinking tools and strategies, tutoring becomes transformational.
